Delta#6684
Suggestion Description: What it does is that if you for example, t!alert/follow #specific-channel, it will send you a DM when there is a new post on that channel. t!alert/follow @role, it will send you a DM when @role has posted something new t!alert/follow "specific words", it will send you a DM when "specific words" has been said (something like warn commands in other bots, where when you say a blacklisted word, it will send a warning to you but now it will just message you when "specific words" has been said). Reason : I know that if you can have announcement channels or specific channels in which only announcements are made. But if you have a lot of discord servers, its not easy to move through all the servers, even if they are in folders, just to see if there's a new announcement or update on the channel. If you get DMs, it will always be on top of the list and easy to see. Then you can go directly to the server, in which the post has been made, to see it. Although it would be good as well to have it be seen in the DM, functioning similar to a newsletter of everything you are following.
Assistants Aericio#4684 Posted September 5, 2021 Assistants Share Posted September 5, 2021 Denied. - We are trying to move away from sending DMs. - You should just bring it up with the server's admins to ping certain roles when they make an announcement, or to create [announcement channels](https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032008192-Announcement-Channels-) that you can follow.
