All pets sent on field trips earn EXP when they return from their trips. In addition to that, there is also a chance they bring back a piece of furniture or a cosmetic! 1.1: Sending Pets on a Field Trip Field trips cost 500 credits each and take 20 hours to complete. Use these new commands to manage your pets' field trips: t!fieldtrip - View the status of your pet's field trips t!fieldtrip send - Send a pet on a field trip t!fieldtrip claim - Claim rewards from your field trips t!fieldtrip recall - Recall a pet from a field trip 1.2 Field Trips FAQ 2.0 Animation Engine We've been working on a major update to our rendering engine in order to add animation support for all pets! Some rarer cosmetics also have animations added to them. Animations is a feature we've been preparing for use with all future content, so you can expect even more animated things with future updates! 3.0 New Store Furniture 22 new furniture pieces have permanently been added to the item store! Each daycare floor is fully configurable with a variety of room layouts to choose from. Examples of what you can do with the daycare The first room on the first floor of your daycare is free! You can choose to upgrade the number rooms, however you'll have to pay a fee to carry out the upgrade. There are a variety of room configurations for you to choose from, from 1 room to a maximum of 6 rooms! Note: 6 room floors are only available to Tatsu supporters Use these new commands to access your daycare: t!daycare - View your daycare t!daycare @someone - View someone else's daycare t!daycare edit - Add new floors to your daycare and customize furniture for each floor You can purchase unlimited numbers of floors for your daycare, however each floor will get progressively more expensive to purchase! Floor cost per room configuration for the first 25 floors: Note: 6 room floors are only available to Tatsu supporters 1.1 Free-form Furniture Placement This daycare update comes with a new addition - The ability to place furniture anywhere within your daycare any way you want it. To edit your daycare, type the below command: t!daycare edit - Edit your daycare Simply follow the instructions in the t!daycare prompts to place your furniture. 1.2 Sending pets to your Daycare Another requested feature is the option to add multiple pets so we've added that to the daycare as well! The limit to the number of pets you can place on each floor changes depending on the number of rooms on that floor. 1 Room - 2 Pets Max 2 Rooms - 3 Pets Max 4 Rooms - 6 Pets Max 6 Rooms - 9 Pets Max To send the pets to your daycare, access the t!daycare edit command and follow the prompts. 1.3 Daycare FAQ 2.0 Pet Cosmetics 2.0 In a major overhaul to the pet cosmetic system, we've added 3 new cosmetic slot types and implemented the ability to layer multiple similar types of cosmetics to create an even wider variety of fashion choices for your pets! New Pet Cosmetic Slots Ear Slot - Eg. Mayan Earrings Face Slot - Eg. Santa's Beard Nose Slot - Eg. Rudolph Nose Currently there are a limited number of cosmetics for those new slots, but we'll be adding more in the future! 2.1 Cosmetic Layering For each type of cosmetic slot, you can now layer up to a maximum of 3 cosmetics in the same slot! Cosmetics that are placed first will always appear underneath cosmetics placed later! Combining the halo and an alien hat to create a floating alien headband To access the new cosmetic system simply use t!tg edit to edit your current pet. 2.2 Cosmetics 2.0 FAQ 3.0 New Limited-Time Token Furniture: Black & White Aquarium Due to popular demand, we've added the black and white aquariums to the token store. The aquariums will be removed from the store on the 9th of April. When you get a legendary when using a Fox+ capsule, there is a 50% chance it will be a fox instead of other legendary pets. Articles, news & special notices can now be posted in rich-text format (and crossposted on the main website as well, with ease.) Trading Forums This is a new avenue for other players to post, view and interact with people outside of Tatsu's Lounge. The trading forum will allow you to find new prospective buyers & sellers, not limited by the people within the Lounge server. Suggestions & Bug Reports We've moved the suggestions & bug reports to the forums in order to make discussions more conducive. Currently on the Lounge, suggestions are constantly being pushed up by newer suggestions; This does not allow proper discussion for suggestions. With this change we can expect more popular suggestions to be upvoted and controversial ones to receive proper discussion before we decide to implement or reject them. You can upvote a suggestion to signify that you would like a particular feature to be implemented. Weekly Team Blog The devlog something we tried but always failed to keep up with. Some of the main reasons include: Inadequate platform for writing updates Lack of integration with our main site Time We wanted to focus on development without the overhead of posting update articles (writing and sending them out takes time). Simply react to the corresponding emoji to receive the role divider. New Community Guidelines We've recently uncovered an incident of predatory behavior on the Lounge and banned the perpetrators. In light of those events we are opting to institute new rules to prevent such situations from ever happening again. No solicitation of personally identifiable information The internet is not a safe place, and is definitely not one where you should readily trust others with your Personally Identifiable Information. This includes names, addresses, pictures, and any other information that can be used to identify you. The Lounge community rules have been updated to explicitly disallow any form of solicitation for selfies, information and other types of PII. We're implementing this new rule to ensure the safety of minors and at-risk people in our community. Please notify a moderator or member of staff if anyone attempts to solicit any personal information from you. Staff Conduct We would also like take this time to make clear the conduct that the Staff members of Tatsu's Lounge should adhere to so you know the standards to which we uphold our community moderation team. Staff will treat users with respect and fairness. When dealing with rule breaking, staff will issue punishments appropriate to the level of offense. Staff will do their best not to escalate conflicts. Staff will use their best judgement to foster a healthy chat environment. This item changes at the start of each month and will never be added back into the item roster. You'll need to accumulate enough votes to earn this item! For this month of July, we have the Cyan Fridge as the reward. 72 votes are required to earn this item! 3.2 Recurring Vote Rewards Recurring vote rewards are given out to those who accumulate enough votes! Recurring rewards never expire and you can continue earning them for as long as you continue voting. Every vote counts towards the progress of ALL the rewards, so earn as much as you want! 3.3 Voting Streak Buffs Voting streak buffs provide you with passive buffs to your earning power! As long as your buffs are active, you will receive the bonuses listed below. For every vote you make, your tier buff tier will increase by 1. (Note, bonuses of the same type do not stack but are an upgrade) To maintain your streak you'll need to vote at least once every two days, otherwise your buff tier will be reset to 0. SUPPORTER BONUS: If you're a supporter subscriber, your streaks won't reset as long as you're subscribed. 4.0 Tatsugotchi Trailer Video While working on animations for the landing page, we decided to do a small trailer video about Tatsugotchi for new players. Walks have been rebalanced and should result in positive credit gain when walking your pet. Other changes in this update include reduced trade restrictions, 15 new pet cosmetics and a new helpdesk. Note: The pet you're transferring levels to will have its levels overwritten with your active pet's levels, so please be sure you want to transfer before confirming. 2.2 Pet Attitude Selector A much requested item, if you've been wanting to change your pet's attitude, this item will let you brainwash your pet. The pet attitude selector is now on sale in the Tatsugotchi store for 3000 tokens. 2.3 Pet Stats Resetter The pet statistics resetter resets the fatigue, hunger, affection and cleanliness maximum or minimum stat points to a random amount. The pet stats resetter is now on sale in the Tatsugotchi store for 750 tokens. 2.4 Cosmetic Trade-ups You can now trade-up your unwanted cosmetics for a chance at getting higher rarity cosmetics using t!tg tradeup. Currently the maximum rarity for cosmetics is "Rare" 3.0 Trading Changes 3.1 Trading Restrictions - Maximum daily trades have been raised to 16. - Maximum active trades have been raised to 8. 3.2 Conversion Tax - Currency exchange tax has been reduced from 20% to 10%. 4.0 Pet Walking Changes Pet walks have been rebalanced and will now be a credit positive activity regardless of whether you get item drops or not. 5.0 New Furniture With this patch we've also added 30+ new furniture pieces! 5.1 Token Furniture 5.2 Credit Furniture 5.3 Walk Furniture 6.0 New Store Pages The store has had it's design slightly cleaned up to provide a better experience. Its still a work in progress, and we'll add proper categories for cosmetics and event items soon. Hi all! Recently, in commemoration of Discord's 6th birthday the Tatsu's Lounge Discord community participated in Project Blurple's Canvas event! Project Blurple 2021 For those not in the know, Blurple Canvas is an event where each person can only place one pixel on the board every 30 seconds. Over the span of 5 days, lounge members collectively placed more than 15,000 pixels on the blurple canvas. We drew pets, decorations and left our appreciation for Discord on a board shared by many other communities. This year was also extra special as we had some members from Ayana bot help us out with coordinating our drawings! API Changes Hello developers! This release contains bug fixes for the users API endpoints where users were not being returned if they had missing data such as profile title and infobox text. A 404 response now represents the true state of Tatsu users. If the user is not present in any servers with Tatsu, then 404 will be returned regardless of whether they have Tatsu data or not. API Libraries Since the last API update, we now have 4 libraries ready for use, 3 of them developed by our awesome community members. These libraries meet our standards for authentication and rate limiting. If you have developed a library and would like to submit it, please visit the #api-support channel and read the pinned message about submitting libraries. We'd love to add more libraries for developers to use.
